Our Mission
Established in 1988, we
strive continually to meet the needs of children and families where the
needs are the greatest. We are an non-denominational auxiliary of
Miracle Temple Church. Our programs are Christian based. We
provide programs for youth and families to help them develop spiritually ,
economically, and culturally. Our comprehensive list of programs
include scholarship, mentor/teen counseling and referral, summer
enrichment, as well as before and after school care. Continually
expanding and growing, we are looking forward to adding transitional
housing and homes for low and moderate income homesteaders to our services
and programs. Committed to service we believe that in serving others
we serve ourselves.

God's Children Child Development and Family Resource
Our child care program provides
quality before and after care services to children between the ages of
four and a half to seventeen years. Staffed with adults, juniors and
seniors high school volunteers, our program provides tutoring, homework,
assistance, structured recreation activities, and hot meals Monday through
Friday. As a Christian based organization, we believe that the church is our
brightest hope for changing and sharing our world and our children. In a
world where our children grow up with so much violence, hatred, abuse,
neglect and so many evils, the Coalition is helping to create the village
that establishes and lives out Christian values. We have a vision
that sees our role as pivotal in changing the
world through children. Our mission is clear. We are necessary child care
development centers, affordable housing, health care facilities,
transitional living programs, job creation and training opportunities that
are energized by the incredible promises that Christ provides.
Changing
the World through Children.
Our
aim is to develop all day
care and education programs that serve children from birth and eighteen.
We believe that his will be made possible through the integration of state
and private sources which will facilitate the development of comprehensive
community based models that best meet the needs of our children. We
will help children and families change from the "inside
out." Thus giving these children needed early intervention,
supports the development of self confidence and high self-esteem, and
providing a basic, thorough foundation for future success in school and
their communities.
ALPHAandOMEGA
HOUSING PROGRAM
All
children need a safe and quality home environment in which to
thrive. Through this project, the Coalition seeks to rebuild our
nation's families one community at a time. However, in doing so, we
must improve the spiritual and cultural conditions that plague our
children and the communities in which they live. Through holistic
housing programs and counseling services, we serve the physical house as
well as the spiritual house. These homes will be built on the spirit
and determination of the prophet Nehemiah when took up the challenge of
restoring the wall and thus rebuilding the faith of the people of
Jerusalem.
JUMPStart
This
program embraces the concept that we must all participate in the
restructuring and rebuilding of our work force. Our nation is
suffering sorely because we have not prepared our children nor its people
adequately to perform responsively and consistently in the labor market.
The
Coalition believes that the provision of valuable work experiences in
their provision of valuable work experiences in their programs and
services will provide it's participants with the much need on the job
training, people skills, mental and spiritual development to respond
effectively in today's job market.
Our
youth must be prepared to accept tomorrow's challenges today, a task that
the Coalition does not take lightly. As a youth and family oriented
ministry, our prayer for our volunteer staff is to help empower the less
fortunate with innovations that improve the quality of life, effect
positive changes in attitudes, change structures that limit and oppress
and that perpetuate inhumane and unjust conditions.
