   AGNUS is Maryland's premier modern rock experience. The band's debut as a local live performing act was September 25, 2000. Since then, the band has continued to play at many different venues covering songs from Billboards Top 20 Modern Rock Charts, while writing, performing and recording their own original material. AGNUS was formed for two reasons; first, to be an entertaining live rock band covering the covering the most current songs, and second to write and record their own material.

    A G N U S has earned the reputation as the area’s hardest and tightest professional hard rock bands by putting on a rock show , not just playing a gig. Their intensity and dedication to the music is complimented by the musicianship of the band. But, what makes the audience become fans is the delivery of the music. Performing several shows a month AGNUS has developed a very loyal fan base that is growing with every show.

    In September 2002, the band released its first full-length album called SCREAMING WITHIN. The CD contains 12 original hard rock songs, and the response to the new material has been very positive. SCREAMING WITHIN became number one for 3 weeks on KMUD in California, and reached the Top 20 Modern Rock Charts on college radio stations all over the U.S. and Canada. Currently, AGNUS is working on their second recording project while continuing to play live shows in Maryland.
